Lesson 7: Regarding Sex…
One of my friends was teaching a sociology class on world religions, and someone brought up the topic of reincarnation (that’s the religious theory where, after you die, you come back as someone or something else). One guy at the back of the class spoke up. “I don’t believe in reincarnation. But, if I did, I’d want to come back as a lion.” A girl on the front row grinned and said, “In my next life, I want to be a pig.” The class broke up laughing. Come to find out, most of the students had been in a biology class earlier in the day where they had been told that, during the mating season, male lions have sex over 100 times a day, and pigs have 30-minute orgasms. My friend said, “No matter what the subject, it seems like people have a way of turning the discussion back to sex.”
Sex has become such an open topic that you may be asking the question, “What more is there to say?” Well, we’re not going to go into the stuff that you can get in your anatomy and human sexuality classes. What might be helpful though would be for us to give some thought as to what makes sex truly pleasurable. And, I’m not talking about foreplay and orgasms. Nope, I’m talking about something that runs a lot deeper than physical pleasure.
