Topic 3: The Dynamic New Concept of ARKparenting
ARKparenting is based upon the new, groundbreaking research that calls for parents to provide the unconditional love that is the key element in building their children’s self-esteem.
Developing high self-esteem in our children should be one of the primary goals of parenting. If a young person does not feel good about herself, she will “cave in” to the coercion of her peers in hopes of winning the acceptance and approval of others. That’s why children with low self-esteem frequently are involved in heavy drug use, promiscuous sex, violence, and drug activity. Typically, a child with poor self-esteem will be unhappy and depressed and will blame herself for her parents’ problems.
