Lesson 3: Encouraging Positive Relationships Among Students
It is astonishing how little attention is paid to the quality of the relationships between students on a campus. A Google search provides little information, and the topic is virtually ignored by leading educators who can expound wonderfully on matters dealing with curriculum, classroom management, and administrative leadership styles but who have little to say about how students get along with one another.
The typical school is populated by many different student factions and personalities. If those entities are not meshing together well, questions of students’ personal safety and emotional well-being will stalk the campus.
